Coweta’s Kaitlin Beddall – Coweta Tigers – Presented by Banc First Coweta

Coweta High School sophomore Kaitlin Beddall is a member of the varsity golf team and the Tiger Pride marching band. Also a member of National Honor Society, Beddall said she started playing golf thanks to her father who encouraged her to give it a try.

“I have been playing golf for two years now,” said Beddall. “My dad was the one who got me into golf. My dad has been a huge role model in my life, in and out of sports. He always perseveres no matter what, he is one of the strongest people I know.”

Beddall said she enjoys being a student-athlete at Coweta High School and she loves being on this team with her teammates.

“I love the aspect of community. We are all there to build each other up and help each other get better at the game,” said Beddall.
This year on the course, Beddall said her game is improving and she is having fun in the tournaments. Beddall and her teammates believe in showing good sportsmanship on and off the course.

“My strength is recovering from the rough and approach shots,” said Beddall. “To me, being a person of good character is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. It’s, doing what’s right because you know deep down that it’s the right thing to do.”

Beddall admitted her first tournament experience made her nervous, but she quickly got over the nerves.

“Competing in my first tournament. I remember being super nervous but the girls I was playing with ended up being super nice,” said Beddall.
Beddall has big plans for her life after high school.

“I know that I want to attend college at either Oklahoma State University or the University of Texas at Austin. Although I haven’t quite decided what I want to study,” said Beddall.

In her free time, Beddall enjoys playing music, spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog.
