Lincoln’s Adyson Roberts – Player Profile

Elev8 Shooting Camp July 2019

Role models play an important part in the lives of most people. They help us grow and become the person we will become. The same is true for Adyson Roberts, who has two people that have made big impacts on her life.

“I would say one of my biggest role models would probably be my mom,” Roberts said. “She has always put things in a better perspective for me. She always makes sure everyone goes before herself and she just inspires others to be better in general. Another one of my biggest role models would have to be my dad. He definitely likes to push me to my very best and he is why I am where I am today. He never fails to put a smile on anyone’s face no matter the circumstance.”

Adyson is a junior at Lincoln Christian School. She is a member of the school’s softball, basketball, and tennis teams. While she enjoys all three sports, she has played softball the longest, beginning at age six. She is a pitcher for the Lady Bulldogs but on her club softball team, she normally plays third base.

Though she loves all of her sports, Roberts knows that becoming the athlete that she is today is not something that just happened overnight. Continually working and getting better has helped her develop into the player she is.

“Being successful in my sports has taken a lot,” she said. “Hard work and determination are two of the most important things. Working everyday and seeing improvement definitely pushed me even harder to be the best.”

Another person that influenced Adyson’s life would be her Chemistry teacher, Catie Pritchard.

“Mrs. Pritchard taught me how all the different things interact with each other,” Roberts said. “I really enjoyed the way she taught and she would have to be my favorite teacher.”

She has enjoyed a lot of great moments during her time playing softball, but she says that her greatest memories are watching her hard work and great play pay off.
“I won Most Valuable Player in two different World Series Tournaments,” she stated. “My first one was when I was eight years old and the second was when I was twelve.”

Along with her sports at Lincoln, Adyson is a member of the National Honor Society. She also plays club softball with the Tulsa Elite program.
