Dynamic Duo – Bixby Softball Brynn Daniel and Kindal Biggs – Presented by Jack Wills Outdoor Living

Is there anything better than a lifetime friendship? Not many people are lucky enough to have formed a bond with someone before kindergarten and maintained that relationship throughout high school. It’s even more rare for a pair to have been teammates over that same timeframe. Throughout sporting history dynamic duos come and go, but it’s rare when a pair is formed before kindergarten and not only lasts, but is very very successful in its craft. Kobe and Shaq. Montana and Rice. Venus and Serena. You get the idea.

For Bixby Lady Spartan softballers Brynn “B” “Benjamin” Daniel and Kindal “KB” “KK” Biggs their friendship and role as teammates stretches back all the way to their early days in T-ball.

“We met when we were four years old on our T-ball team, the Dynamites!” the two said. “Since we were so young we don’t really remember our first impressions of each other. But I think we both made a good impression because we have stayed friends up to this day!”

Daniel and Biggs have remained friends and teammates throughout their playing careers in both club and school athletics. When asked how the two have adapted to the transition over the years from playing together as teammates at every level of competition the dynamic duo had this to say:

“We played on the same travel ball team, the Tulsa Eagles, from T-ball to 12u! Since we had been friends and teammates for so long the transition was really easy going into school ball and being able to do it together! The biggest thing was getting used to the different atmosphere school ball brings but having played with each other for so long we understand each other’s strengths making us a good shortstop/catcher duo! And we always have each other’s back!”

Currently Daniel and Biggs are entering their junior year at Bixby and new roles as upperclassmen. While the responsibilities of being veterans on a high school team may be new, they know that each will be sharing the experience with another who has had the same experiences thus far, and they’re looking forward to the opportunity.

“We are both excited to be able to lead this team, set examples, and build a foundation for the upcoming classes,” the duo said.

While Daniel and Biggs are ready and prepared for their new role at Bixby they still appreciate the moments they’ve shared together as both friends and teammates over the years.

“Our favorite memory together as teammates was from our first year of 10u. We went to Nationals in Dallas and won the whole thing! Not only that but we both were picked from our team to go and play in the All Star games! We both also miss the long car rides to every tournament together and all the hotel room dance parties!”

Looking ahead to the next two years in Bixby Daniel and Biggs hope to share more success together on the diamond.

However, they are both planning for the future. After high school both plan on continuing their softball careers in college. Biggs is committed to NSU (Northeastern State University) to play softball and will further her education by studying Biology and later on Optometry. After high school Daniel plans to play college softball, although she is currently undecided on what school, she wants to major in pharmaceuticals.
