After basketball season comes to an end, Collinsville sophomore Hayden McDowell turns her attention to the golf course. As a member of the golf team, McDowell said the team is supportive and she is having fun.
“Everybody is willing to help each other out and we make sure to have fun. We are looking really good,” said McDowell.
McDowell has spent time working on her game and said she is seeing that work pay off on the course.
“I’ve worked to improve contact in the ball. My favorite club to hit is my 7-iron. This is because I get the most distance out of it,” said McDowell.
Also a member of National Honor Society, McDowell plans to play summer ball. The future class of 2026 graduate is making plans for life after high school.
“After I graduate, I plan to go to college and play basketball while advancing my academics,” said McDowell.
In her free time, McDowell enjoys spending time at church and hanging out with her friends.
