Owasso Lady Rams soccer player Mia Wright has her sights set on making the most of her final season at Owasso.

The senior has played soccer for nearly as long as she could walk.

“I have played soccer since I was four years old,” said Wright.

Being part of the varsity team and what head coach Sam Bowers is doing to help this team succeed is exciting for Wright and her teammates. A state title in girls soccer is one box Wright, and her teammates would love to check off this season.

“My teammates mean a great deal to me. Not only I am playing with such amazing talented people on the field, I have the privilege of knowing and being a friend to them off of the field. Teammates are what make a team, and I am very, very grateful to be playing with them almost every day,” said Wright.

Representing Owasso High School brings a since of pride to Wright. Traveling and representing her school, community and classmates is one aspect of the game she loves.

“I love being a student-athlete because I get to experience things other students don’t get to experience; a relationship with my team and the sport itself. I love being able to travel to different places to play the game I love and getting such positive feelings from playing and just overall having fun,” said Wright.

Away from school you can usually find Wright doing other activities she enjoys.

“In my free time, I love to paint (watercolor), take pictures of anything I find cool, listen to music, and hanging out with my friends,” said Wright.
