Broken Arrow’s Ki’Eisha Cathey Named 2021-22 Shelter Insurance Miss Wrestling Oklahoma

The Shelter Insurance Miss Wrestling Oklahoma Award recognizes the outstanding athletic achievements of Ki’Eisha Cathey and the high standards of athletic excellence and exemplary character demonstrated on the mat, which distinguishes Cathey as Oklahoma’s best high school female wrestler this season.

Cathey finished the season strong, winning the state title at 235-pounds. The win marked the third state title for Cathey during her high school career. Broken Arrow girls wrestling head coach Cassidy Jasperson has two Miss Wrestling Oklahoma recipients and is expected to have another strong team in 2022-23. Cathey also helped the team to three state championships.

VYPE Magazine Editorial Director Brad Heath said of Cathey, “If girls wrestling had started one year prior, Cathey would be our first four-time state champion. What she has done on the wrestling mat is a credit to her abilities, desire to win and to the Broken Arrow wrestling program.”

Congratulations to Ki’Eisha Cathey of Broken Arrow on being named the 2021-22 Miss Wrestling Oklahoma.
