Since the second grade, Berryhill High School’s Damarie Davis has called the football field his home away from home. Now a senior, Davis is a two-way player who brings a physical brand of football to the field for the Chiefs. His passion for the game and for his team makes him the “talk of the tailgate.”
“What I love most about playing football are the relationships I have with my teammates on and off the field,” Davis said. “I love the atmosphere at Berryhill High School on Friday nights.”
One of his favorite plays occurred last season against Vinita when he made a game changing interception. At 6-foot-2 and 225-pounds, Davis is an imposing figure on the field.
Being part of the Berryhill family and representing the school is something Davis is proud to do.
“What makes Berryhill such a great place to go to school is the community, the teachers, coaches and the fact that everyone in Berryhill will be there for you through everything,” said Davis.
Davis plans to pursuing a degree in college while playing football. The defensive end is still undecided, but one thing is certain, wherever he does land, Davis will be a difference maker.
