Coach: Amanda Ott Henderson
2021-2022 Record: 11-15
Head coach of the Catoosa Lady Indians Amanda Ott Henderson is excited to get the new season underway. This season the Lady Indians will be fairly young but the coaching staff has big expectations for their incoming class of freshmen and hope to see them develop over the year. However, Catoosa does return their leading rebounder and scorer Zoe Brown (Sr.) from last season. Brown is a post threat with great hands and size and a high motor. She is great at crashing the boards, but also has the finesse to handle the ball, a solid mid range jumper, and is fearless on defense. Expect Brown to have a role in just about every aspect of the Lady Indians’ gameplan this season.
Jacque Cornwell (Fr.) has great handles for a freshman and is improving her shot everyday. As a young guard she already has a solid foundation and coaches are excited to see her development with her commitment to work and view her as a huge asset moving forward over the next several years.
Another young player that will have a major impact this season is Tinsley Mitchell (Fr.) who has the ability to jump out of the gym and attack the rim. Coaches say she sees the floor well and has enough speed, handles, and explosiveness that makes her nearly impossible to guard. Assistant coaches for Catoosa include Sal Guerrero, Chelsea Rink, and Lauren Price.
