Broken Arrow basketball player Grace Pippett shares her goals for the season – Presented by Arkansas Verdigris Valley Health Centers

VYPE: What are your goals for this season? 

Grace: My biggest goal for this upcoming season is simply to leave a positive impact on my teammates and coaches. 

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life? 

Grace: Communication is key and so important for success.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Grace: My two favorite teachers are my 1st grade teacher Mrs. Shelby and Ms. Garza who was my FACS teacher for two years. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Grace: Coach Coffey is such a huge inspiration to me, he is always so positive and knows how to be a great leader. 

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why? 

Grace: McKenzie Mathurin has left a huge impression on me. She is always working her hardest and putting in so much time to make not only herself but our team better.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?  

Grace:  I love all of the bonds I have created and life long friends so have met through basketball.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you? 

Grace: I would pick to go to Greece, it’s so pretty and I would take my family and my two best friends, Katie and Hadley. 

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Grace: I’ve played basketball my entire life and it’s just such a quiet place for me where I can just escape the real world.

Grace: I want to say thank you to my family and everyone who has ever supported me through my journey.
