KIPP Tulsa Bulldogs Girls Basketball Preview – Presented by RibCrib

If you don’t know, allow us to introduce you to the KIPP Prep Lady Bulldogs and head coach Samy Mack. Yes, that Samy Mack who brought a few gold balls to East Central. He’s back and the Lady Bulldogs are poised for a breakout season. “Kipp has all the doubt in the world due to the previous years of this team, but with a few new pieces and a new image, there is not a doubt that everyone will know our name after this season,” said coach Mack.

Several players are dotting the VYPE Top 100 including Rekiah Bowen (5-10, So.) who will start at guard for the Lady Bulldogs. Heaven Smith (5-5, Jr.) will run the point where her quickness and ability to handle the rock will shine.

Brianna Gist (5-11, Jr.) is the real deal in the post. After a solid off-season, Gist is ready to show her skill set on both ends of the court. Shooting guard Mackenzie Lovett (5-6, So.) has a great eye for the basket with the range of a senior. Lovett could be the X-factor for the Lady Bulldogs as they venture into a tough schedule. Coach Mack will need some players to step up from the bench. Keeping a good rotation and keeping the starters healthy is important if the Lady Bulldogs are going to make people stand up and take notice. Expect a familiar style as coach Mack looks to build the program one game at a time.
