Coach: Scott Bowman
21-22 Record: 1-20
The Skiatook Bulldogs had a tough season a year ago, only registering one win on the season. But first year head coach Scott Bowman and his squad are ready to put last season in the rearview mirror and start fresh this season. “Our team this season is going to be young,” Bowman said. “We are mostly freshman and sophomores. We do return three seniors that started last year, and we will look to that experience for our younger guys.”
Austin Thomas (5-10, Sr.) is one of those returning seniors. He will be playing guard this season and will work to get his teammates involved. Playing the post will be Jace White (6-2, Sr.). He is an outstanding athlete and will be looking to wreak havoc for opponents on both ends of the court.
The sophomore guard duo of Cooper Wood (5-8, So.) and Trevor Mathews (5-6, So.) have both worked hard in the offseason and should see an increase in the role this season. Drew Henderson (5-10, Jr.) is a solid athlete that loves the game of basketball, and it shows when he steps out on the court. Hunter Howell (5-6, So.), Julian Baldino (6-0, So.), and Josh Ripley (5-10, So.) should all three see more playing time this season and will have the opportunity to make a bigger impact on the Bulldog’s season. Hunter King (6-3, So.) is the team’s other post player, and he will be ready to contribute when he is called on.
Assistant coaches this season are Ron Bowman, David Winton, and James Jones.
