When the season opens on Feb. 21 at Jenks High School, the Lady Rams of Owasso will be without several key players from last season. That fact is not slowing this new group down and head coach Sam Bowers is looking forward to what this team can accomplish.
“We lost a lot of kids due to graduation and leaving early for college. I think a total of eight starters from last year. But I really like the makeup of the kids we have returning. They are so excited to get a chance to be the faces of the Lady Rams,” coach Bowers said.
“There is a lot of excitement and passion about this team. There are no egos, just determination to get better. I think we will surprise a lot of people this year.
“We have several players with experience, and we always play a tough JV schedule against other varsity teams to make sure they are ready when it is their time. I think we will only get better when district time comes in April.”
The roster will include Sam Russell (Sr.), Leia Adkins (Jr.), Millie Byerly (So.), Terrin White (So.), Kynlie Wilson (Jr.), Emelie Rhein (Sr.), Shelby Sepulveda (So.), Erin Eagleton (Sr.), Trinity Gray (Jr.), Macey Harter (Jr.), Quinn Thomason (So.), Amilia Sinor (Sr.), Sophie Cooper (Sr.), Brook Schwartz (So.), Olivia Staton (So.), Hayden Hodge (Sr.), Natalie Hoefer (Fr.), Campbell Zumwalt (Fr.), Taylor Moore (Sr.), Zoe Slagle (Sr.), Aubree Collins (Jr.), Avery Stultz (Fr.), and Brooke Woods (So.).
