Holland Hall’s Abby Wise – Multisports Athlete of the Month – Presented By Multisports, LLC

The Trent Tucker Tennis Academy has helped many tennis players to improve their game while also creating a fun environment for them. Abby Wise is one of the athletes in the academy and she says that it has made a huge impact on her.

“It’s crazy how much the place you train starts to feel like home,” Abby said. “Tucker Tennis has become that for me growing up over the years. With one of the top academies in the nation in my backyard, I have never taken a day for granted walking in that place. The friends you meet, the coaches who influence you, and even the meals you share together at the grill, truly reflect the togetherness in a culture that this place allowed me to grow up and learn over the years. I can truly say that Tucker Tennis feels like home.”

Wise is a senior at Holland Hall where she is a member of the tennis team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and an ambassador at the school.

Along with attending Trent Tucker, Abby puts in a lot of work on her own time. But she says that work is not the only thing that is important.

Working hard is important to be successful, but you also have to be dedicated to continually getting better,” she said. “The support that I have received from my family and coaches has also been important. I’ve also enjoyed some great moments while competing, but I think my highlight moment would have to be winning state. That was hands down the most fun I’ve ever had on a bus ride back with a trophy being passed around. Winning is fun.”

There have been a few people that have had a big impact her, both as an athlete and a person.

“My sisters, Annie and Audrey have been my biggest role models,” Wise said. “They have always been there for me. Annie and Audrey are people I strive to be, hardworking, empathetic, determined, and giving. Mrs. Moore, my Math Analysis teacher, is a teacher htat has had a big influence on me. She was always there for me. It felt as though she truly wanted to help me and get to know me outside the classroom. She is incredible and helped me through some rough times.”
