Getting to know Sapulpa’s Raegan McQuarters – Presented by Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital

How long have you played basketball?

Raegan: I’ve played basketball since I was 7.

How do you balance your time between sports and academics or other activities?

Raegan: Basketball comes first, so anything after that just fits in.

Do you have any goals this year in basketball, academics, or other activities?

Raegan: I just want to win state and play.

What is your favorite drill to do in training and why?

Raegan: Probably 3 on 2 , 2 on 1. It’s just a lot of fun.

What are your strengths and what have you improved on the most over the course of your high school career?

Raegan: My strengths are probably attacking and defense. I have improved on my confidence, but it could get better.

What are your thoughts on the current season from both an individual and team standpoint?

Raegan: My thoughts are it’s going really well and it’s a lot of fun but every day is a day to get better. We just need to get ready for March.

What’s your most memorable basketball moment during your high school career?

Raegan: Going to OU and playing at OU was memorable.

What do you love most about being a student-athlete at your school and why?

Raegan: What I love most about being a student-athlete is just everything, love the ups and downs. The benefits.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? What are some of your hobbies?

Raegan: I love just being at home, chilling and sleeping.

Is there a particular upcoming game or tournament that you’re excited for this season?

Raegan: I’m ready for the state tournament.

What are your plans after high school (college, work, etc)?

Raegan: I want to go to college, find a career and play basketball.

What Sapulpa head coach Darlean Calip said about Raegan: “Senior who played last season at Tulsa Rogers and led them to the state tourney. Averaged 16.4 points and 3.4 steals. Quick, fast and athletic player who brings experience and leadership to our already-talented team.”
