Sapulpa sends 10 wrestlers to state tournaments – Presented by Sigler Heat & Air

Congratulations to the Sapulpa Chieftains for earning 10 wrestling state tournament berths.

Sapulpa boys advancing include: Cavin Peper (junior, 113 pounds, 25-5 record), Jackson Willingham (junior, 126, 23-18), Ethan Peterson (junior, 150, 17-6), Blake Hurt (sophomore, 157, 29-13), Cooper Thomas (senior, 190, 20-5), Caleb Turner (senior, 215, 26-14) and Xander Konell (senior, 285, 13-13). Peper and Peterson are both 2022 state placers.

Sapulpa girls advancing include: Elizabeth Cope (junior, 145 pounds, 25-2 record), Kassandra Buckner (junior, 155, 16-9) and Caris Morris (sophomore, 170, 19-4). Morris is a 2022 state placer, Buckner is a three-time state qualifier, and it’s Cope second appearance in the state tournament.

Sapulpa is coached by Kyle Blevins.
