VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
Dylan: I have two primary goals for this season. The first goal is to qualify for state in No. 1 doubles. My second goal is to end off this season with a positive record.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Dylan: Tennis has taught me that life is about your mindset. I have noticed that my performance on the court and my mental and physical wellbeing off the court is greatly affected by my mindset.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Dylan: My favorite teacher is Dustin Morrow. He is very personable and I never have left his class without having a good laugh.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Dylan: A person who inspires me is Frank Cooper. He has a very lively personality, a great attitude about life no matter the day he is having, and he genuinely cares about every person he meets.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Dylan: My teammate, Connor Shipman, has left the biggest impression on me. After seeing how many things he is involved with, in general it has made me try harder and apply myself more.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Dylan: My favorite part about being on a team is the comradery.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Dylan: I would love to go to Vancouver British Columbia and I would take my parents and both my brothers with me.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Dylan: I am passionate about tennis because, apart from it being fun and good exercise, I love the way the game makes you think. Someone could have way better mechanics than their opponent and still lose because they were out strategized.
