Braxton Bacon will graduate from Owasso High School as an All-State wrestler at 175 pounds.
Bacon’s excellent senior season ended in a state semifinal loss to the eventual 6A state champion, Edmond North’s Talon McCollom.
“Braxton really grew into his best self yet this year,” Owasso head wrestling coach Kyle Ryan said. “It comes as no surprise to myself and Braxton that he was named to the All-State team.”
Ryan continued, praising Bacon’s ability to mentor younger players and take “ownership of his training and championship lifestyle, which led to his ‘earned confidence’ that allowed him to put his best version on the mat consistently.”
“Braxton earned everything he achieved this year. I’m very proud of him,” Ryan said.
