Kelsi Hilton will be a vital piece for Sand Springs in 2023 as she will be asked to carry what will be a young team under head coach Shelli Brown. We will be a young team that will need that experience early in the season,” said Brown, who guided the Sandites to a 25-16 mark last year. Junior Addison Hughes also returns as a pitcher and will also see action as a first baseman. “She split time with Kelsi last year on the mound. She has great control and spin on her ball. She will make a big difference on the mound this year and she has a year of experience to help her out,” Brown said. Incoming freshman Lakelyn Harger will fill roles as a pitcher and third baseman. “Can’t wait to see what she can accomplish this year,” Brown said. “She loves softball and has the energy to help her succeed.” Senior outfielder Morgan Rector will play a role in the outfield and hit .327
