Q&A with Bixby’s Hayden Byrne – Presented by Bixby Flower Basket

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year? 

Hayden: My goals for this year are to inspire the younger athletes and bring joy to the people around me!

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life? 

Hayden: Softball has taught me how to be a great leader when it comes to working as one!

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why? 

Hayden: My favorite teacher is Dewayne Patterson. He is our leadership advisor at Bixby and has taught me so much about myself and has introduced me to so many lifelong friendships!

VYPE: Who inspires you and why? 

Hayden: My parents inspire me to be a better person everyday and my mom has always taught me to stand up for what is right!

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why? 

Hayden: Harlee Ashford is a teammate that has left the biggest impression on me because she always sees the good into things and is always so positive!

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team? 

Hayden: My favorite part about being on a team is the relationships and the life long memories that go along with it!

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain. 

Hayden: The best athlete in my family is definitely my cousin Jeremiah! We are the same age so everything we do is a competition!

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play? 

Hayden: One sport I wish I could play is Tennis or pickleball!

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song? 

Hayden: My go-to pregame song would have to be Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z!!
