Bixby’s Brynn Daniel – Softball Spotlight – Presented by RainTech

Brynn Daniel has been a solid and steady contributor throughout her career with the Bixby
softball program.
Daniel, now in her senior year with the Spartans, is sharp in the field from the shortstop
position and through 13 games is hitting .500 following Bixby’s 8-3 win over Jenks on
Thursday, Sept. 7.
“Brynn is a scholar and a three-sport standout. She is a four-year starter at shortstop and
she has worked an entire career to have a magical senior year,” Bixby head coach JP
Sutmiller said.

The Pittsburg State commit, who has been an all-district selection every year since she was
a freshman, wants to make a strong statement in her final year. As a junior, she hit .395 and
committed just one error.
“I want to win a regional and make it to the state tournament,” Daniel said. “My personal
goal is to make all-state at the end of the season.”
Daniel has worked to get better in the batter’s box and has made strides to become a leader
for Bixby.
“My hitting approach has definitely improved this year, along with embracing my role as a
leader on the field,” said Daniel, who clubbed a walkoff home run to take down Jenks
during her sophomore season. “My biggest strength is my ability to get on base in multiple
different ways, not just as a power hitter.”
Daniel comes from a family with a strong baseball background.
“My dad and my brothers are my biggest role models and supporters. They all played high
level baseball and they push me to be the best version of myself,” she said.
