Brooklyn Hicks is focused on making the most of each day on the volleyball court.
“I want to keep getting better everyday and understand that mistakes will be made in volleyball, and as a team I think my goals are for us to mesh as a team and flow together better,” Hicks said.
The Collinsville junior has continued to work on her craft.
“I definitely think I’ve improved on passing levels and serving the ball. I think my strengths are serving and swinging. I’m a pretty effective hitter, I’ve definitely improved on my swing speed,” she said.
Hicks and the Cardinals were able to come together and defeat Coweta earlier this season, something the program hasn’t done in a while.
“My most memorable moment was this year, creating the most amazing bond with my school team and beating Coweta for the first time in years,” said Hicks, who says her parents are her biggest influence.
“The money and time they’ve spent in making sure I’m happy playing the sport I love the most,” she said.
Hicks wants to continue her volleyball career at the next level, get a good degree in college and possibly go into healthcare.
