Q & A with Coweta’s Sierra Soto Presented by Arkansas Verdigris Valley Health Centers

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team? 

Sierra: My favorite part about being on a team are my teammates and how we work together to become successful.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Sierra: Playing softball has taught me to be patient and focus on the tasks at hand.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport? 

Sierra: I’m passionate about softball because I get to be around other teammates that love to play the games as I do. I am a very competitive person and love winning.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Sierra: My favorite part about representing my high school as an athlete is being a good role model, not only in my sport but also academically.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Sierra: My favorite memory of playing softball is winning the state championship game in 2020.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you? 

Sierra: My teammate Braedyn Sheofee has led by example and has pushed me to become the athlete I am now. 

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade? 

Sierra: Mrs. Caywood is my favorite teacher because she has helped me overcome my fear of public speaking. She always told me I could do it and gave me confidence .

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Sierra: My dad inspires me by the work ethic that he has. He is very dedicated to his job, which shows me that you have to work hard to get what you want out of life.

Sierra: I would like to say thank you to my mom and dad. Without the sacrifices they have made I wouldn’t be in the position I am today.
