VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball?
Kobie: The goals I have for this year are to be a good leader, take others’ advice of how I can be a better teammate and player, and most of all win a state championship.

VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?
Kobie: Basketball has taught me that things come to you depending how hard you work for it. I use this everyday in the classroom and being a good friend to my peers.

VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?
Kobie: My favorite style of shoe is GT Cuts, version 1 or 2.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Kobie: My biggest inspiration is my papa. He shows me every day how to be the best person I can be. He is there for me every minute and my biggest supporter.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?
Kobie: My biggest challenge in basketball is not immediately seeing results. I have played this game for 10-plus years and the change happens over time.

VYPE: What do you think makes a great basketball player?
Kobie: A great basketball player is composed of many little pieces. Having skill, a drive to win, IQ, and most of all for me is the ability to have a good relationship with my team wherever I go.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Kobie: The best athlete in my family is probably my mom. My mom was one of the best shooters I have ever seen. Her favorite move was a spin move, a very fast and effective one.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Kobie: My go-to pregame song is “Or Nah” by DJ Mustard.
