Bixby

Q&A with Bixby’s Triston Driver – Presented by Ath-Elite Hub

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball?
Triston: My goals for this season as a team is to obviously make state and win it all. I think we have a lot more than what people think we do with returning four starters so we can shock a lot of people.

VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?
Triston: Basketball has taught me a lot of things that have helped me day to day such as discipline, responsibility and consistency.

VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?
Triston: My favorite style of shoes to wear right now is the Lebron 15s. They are very light and have good traction..

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Triston: Trae young is somebody who inspires me deeply with his confidence and the way he plays, as well as being from Oklahoma.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?
Triston: I think the biggest challenge in basketball is when the game isn’t going your way and you aren’t making shots or maybe you’re not getting that ball. That is when you find how good you are by impacting the game in other ways.

VYPE: What do you think makes a great basketball player?
Triston: What makes a great basketball player is the ability to be coachable, a good work ethic, and an undying passion for basketball.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Triston: I am definitely the best athlete out of my family. My dad only played high school basketball and my mom didn’t play sports in high school.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Triston: I would play baseball. Before I started to focus only on basketball, baseball was my first sport that I loved and took seriously.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Triston: My go-to pregame song is probably “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” by Toby Keith. Country music always gets me calm and focused.
