Q&A with Collinsville’s Zac Brown – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball?
Zac: My goal for this year in basketball is to win the state tournament. I believe my team and I are very capable of winning it together!

VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?
Zac: Basketball has taught me that hard work pays off.

VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?
Zac: My favorite style of shoe to wear in game is the GT Cut 2.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Zac: My mom and dad inspire me to work hard on both the court and in the classroom, because I know they want the best for me.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?
Zac: I think that the biggest challenge in basketball is mentally and physically preparing yourself for a big game.

VYPE: What do you think makes a great basketball player?
Zac: I think that being coachable makes a great basketball player. I have had great coaches who have pushed me.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Zac: My siblings, and I have different athletic abilities. My sister is a rower at UCO, and my brother is a competitive swimmer. I have had the most success in basketball.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Zac: I wish that I could play football again. I used to play, but I stopped playing in ninth grade.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Zac: My go-to pregame song is any song by Drake.
