Basketball standout Luke Friedrichsen is looking forward to the start of the season. The
senior will play point guard for the Spartans, and Friedrichsen said there is one goal this
season.
“My ultimate goal for the season is to make state and win it all. Another goal is to see
constant growth and success for our team,” said Friedrichsen.
As a student-athlete at Bixby High School, Friedrichsen has embraced the winning attitude
that has taken hold at BHS.
“My favorite part of being a student-athlete at Bixby is the support we get from teachers,
students, and fans. The team is starting to come along really nice. We are older and more
experienced this year and we all play really well together. I am super excited for the group
we have, and I think we can make good run this year,” said Friedrichsen.
Being part of this team has been special for Friedrichsen.
“What I love most about my teammates is their want to get better each day and the
competitiveness of them,” said Friedrichsen.
The senior is a member of the Athletic Leadership Counsel and FCCLA. He said his favorite
subject is match and his favorite teacher of Mrs. Delay.
When he’s not on the court, you can usually find Friedrichsen spending time with family,
friends and playing video games. Next fall, Friedrichsen plans to attend college.
“After I graduate, I plan to play basketball in college. I still haven’t decided where yet.”
