Kiefer’s Faith Williams – Athlete Spotlight sponsored by Sun & Ski Sports

By Chance Burk

Intensity and hard work often make people give up or give in. For Faith Williams, the hard work it takes to succeed in sports and life drive her to be better.

Faith Williams is a senior at Kiefer High School. She is a member of her high school’s softball and basketball teams and also helps as a manager for the baseball team in the spring. Faith is not only focused and successful in sports, but she also maintains a 4.0 GPA and is enrolled in concurrent courses at Tulsa Community College.

Softball has been consistent in Faith’s life since she was five years old. Her love for the sport has grown over the years and she has developed many great friendships and made countless memories. She is also very thankful for the lessons that it has taught her. Faith expressed that softball “prepares you for life and teaches you to be physically and mentally tough.” It has been her favorite sport since she was very young and she has never gotten sick of it.

Hard work, dedication, and determination have been instilled in Faith for as long as she can remember. She practices softball for about three hours every day and she has for the majority of her life. She finds motivation in the little things and uses it to dominate whatever she does.

Although Faith dedicates a lot of her time to sports, family is and will always be the most important thing to her. She is very thankful for her two parents. She is thankful that they love her, provide for her, and push her to be better ateverything she does. Faith also has an older brother who means the world to her. Her older brother, Jacob, has Down syndrome but Faith stated that he is “the definition of happy and reminds me that the little things in life mean more than the big things.”

Although Faith loves sports and is able to find success, she wants to build a career that is focused on animals. She loves to be around them, and a job that connects her to them would be a dream come true. She will use the hard work and dedication that sports have taught her to succeed in the field and she will use the lessons that she has learned during her life to succeed in life after graduation.
