The start of the 2023-24 season did not go as planned for the Warriors of Glenpool, but with players like Ethan Pennington, the season made a turn, and the Warriors are trending upwards.

Pennington is a senior this season and is excited to see where this team can go this year.

“We are coming together pretty well, we’re still learning how to play together, but we’ll get there,” said Pennington.

Pennington is a versatile player who is comfortable driving the lane and battling for rebounds.

“What I love about this team is how hard we work, no matter the outcome,” said Pennington. “The goal is to make it to the state tournament.”

The senior said he loves everything about being a student-athlete at GHS, from the support the students and fans give to the opportunity to represent his school in competition.

Pennington would one day like to take his talents to the next level.

“I would like to go play basketball and major in accounting,” said Pennington. “My favorite class in school is accounting and my favorite teachers are Mrs. Haile or Mrs. Thames.”

During his free time, you can usually find Pennington in the gym or spending time with friends and family.
