VYPE: Grady, what grade are you in this year and how long have you played baseball?
Smith: I am in 12th grade, and I have been playing baseball for about 11 years now.
VYPE: What makes being a Cardinal baseball player special to you?
Smith: It is a tight-knit community, everyone knows each other and treats everybody like family.
VYPE: Tell us about your teammates. What do you love most about this group?
Smith: I couldn’t ask for a better group of dudes, they will push to be better and pick you up when you get down. It comes second nature growing up with all of them, it’s a family.
VYPE: What’s the strength of your game?
Smith: Fielding has been my best contribution to the team and has gotten better as the year goes on.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other clubs or groups at school?
Smith: I am in the National Honor Society and leadership.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject or teacher at school?
Smith: My favorite subject is anatomy, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Bargas.
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
Smith: After graduating I’m going to play college baseball and graduate to become a PT.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Smith: I enjoy golfing and picking up any sport I can with my friends.
VYPE: Who is the best player in Major League Baseball?
Smith: Bryce Harper, he shines in the clutch.
