Katelyn McGhee
Owasso High School
Student-athlete Katelyn McGhee is a sophomore at Owasso High School. McGhee is a member of the swim team and competes in four events.
“I swim the 200 individual medley, 100 fly, 100 back, and 100 breast,” said McGhee. “What I love most about being an athlete at Owasso is being able to have the experience of being in a high school sport.”
McGhee said she loves being on the team and competing with her classmates.
“I love that my teammates are encouraging,” said McGhee. “My goal is to make it to state for an individual event. The team is coming together very nicely there is a lot of encouraging and teamwork.”
The sophomore also participates in the FFA chapter at school.
“My favorite subject is ag which is FFA, and my favorite teacher is my ag teacher Mr. David.
said McGhee.
McGhee said she would like to attend college after high school and possibly compete in swimming, but her goal is to become a firefighter.
When she has some free time, you can usually find McGhee spending it with friends and family or being outside. She also enjoys doing crafts and drawing or painting and doing puzzles.
