Owasso High School junior Tyler Rich is a starting defensive tackle for the Rams and the “talk of the tailgate” on Friday nights in Owasso.
At 6-foot-3, 285-pounds, Rich is a dominating force on the defensive line. His ability to put pressure on an opponent by penetrating up the middle of the offensive line is crucial to the overall success of the Ram defense.
Rich was named to the VYPE Top 100 preseason watch list and is in the running for the title of Mr. Football Oklahoma.
In a big win over Edmond North, Rich was instrumental in helping the Rams defense make stops and force turnovers to topple the Huskies, 30-16.
Willing to do anything to help his team win, Rich is described as an “all-in” teammate who plays every play to his fullest. His leadership on the field is present on every down and his play gets the fans to their feet.
