VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball?
Sarah: We have a special group of seniors this year and my goal is to help them make it to the state tournament. I would also like the opportunity to get quality minutes with my sister and make memories.
VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?
Sarah: Basketball has taught me how to communicate better and work together with others for a common goal.
VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?
Sarah: My favorite style of shoes to wear in games are Lebron’s.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Sarah: The person who inspires me the most is my older sister, Makenna. She has been a hard worker since elementary and is always looking to improve. She pushes me and her other teammates to do their best everyday in practice.
VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?
Sarah: One of the biggest challenges in basketball is your mentality going into games or practice. If you get in your own head it is hard to relax and just play the game.
VYPE: What do you think makes a great basketball player?
Sarah: What makes a great player is the work put in outside of practice, not skipping reps but doing an extra rep, and giving your 100% every time you step on the floor.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Sarah: The best athlete in my family is my older sister, Makenna. She gives it her all every time she steps on the court and pushes everyone to do the same.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Sarah: One sport I wish I could play is volleyball. It looks like a lot of fun.

Sarah: My go-to pregame song is “The Search” by NF.
