Rejoice Christian Eagles Boys Basketball Preview – Presented by Daniel Buttram Keller Williams Shields and Co.

Coach: Tim Billingsley

21-22 Record: 13-14

The Eagles have had success the past couple of seasons by reaching the area round of the playoffs. But head coach Tim Billingsley says that he thinks this season’s squad has a shot to get to the state tournament. “We have a senior-oriented team that has made a run to area in Class 3A the last two seasons,” he said. “We are dropping back down to Class 2A and I believe we have a state-contending team. We look forward to a tough schedule in the Pinnacle Conference that will get us ready to make a run in March.”

Jaron Foote (5-8, Sr.) will be one of the leaders on this team. He is a point guard with a very high basketball IQ. He is very quick, with a very tight handle, and can score anywhere on the floor. He has an unbelievable court sense and knows exactly where everybody is at. He is a floor general and creates open looks for all of his teammates.

Another team member that will look to be a leader is Connor Tallon (6-4, Sr.). He is a big man that does all the dirty work. He is a physical presence inside that cleans up on the boards and he is a vital part of the offense, posting up and setting screens to get others open. He is not afraid to lay his body on the line for the sake of the team.

Nathan Constable (6-3, Sr.) is a senior transfer from Canada. Nathan plays with a motor and has a high basketball IQ. He is deceptively athletic and finishes well around the rim. One of the other great qualities about Nathan is that he can guard anybody on the floor.

Other Eagles that are going to be ready to jump in when called on are Jax Wadley (6-0, Fr.), Solomon Morton (5-8, Sr.), Nathan Price (6-3, Jr.), Braden Sasham (6-1, Sr.), Daniel Dimmick (6-2, Sr.), Cooper Auschwitz (6-2, So.), Jack Volz (6-0, Sr.), Jack Leatherland (6-2, Sr.), and Jaden Foote (5-8, So.).
