Julian Baldino wants to make a big impact for Skiatook this year on the hardwood.
The 6-foot-2 junior combo guard hopes to average at least 20 points per game and either seven rebounds or seven assists, or both in the upcoming 2023-24 season. He also has hopes of getting college offers.
“I feel like my shooting and ball handling have improved a great amount since last season,” said Baldino, who said his favorite moment of his career so far is hitting his first game-winning basket on a half-court shot. “My strengths are shooting and ball handling and finishing around the rim, and somewhat defense. I want to be dedicated to this sport and get myself a college scholarship.”
Baldino is a versatile piece for the Bulldogs and head coach Scott Bowman.
“He is one of those that can play any position and plays it well. He is the link that keeps the team strong,” Bowman said.
“I play any position my coach needs me to except the center spot,” said Baldino, who is a huge fan of both Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving because of the impacts they have made in the NBA.
Baldino says his plans following high school are to play basketball at the next level, whether it be at the Division I, Division II or Division III level.
