Daniel Webster high School’s Klaudia Ryan – Athlete Spotlight Presented by Arnolds Hamburgers

It takes a great deal of talent to participate in more than one sport for an athlete. For Daniel Webster High School senior Klaudia Ryan, she participates in multiple sports, including cross country, track, volleyball, soccer, and cheer. For track, Klaudia does short distance runs like 100m dash, the 100m relay, and 100m hurdles. For soccer Klaudiatypically plays left midfield or left wing.

Klaudia looks towards more than one role model for inspiration. Klaudia stated, “One of my role models is my dad,George Ryan; he played a lot of sports when he was in high school. Additionally, I look up to all my coaches that made who I am today.”

When asked what it means to represent Daniel Webster High School, Klaudia remarked, “I think it means a lot because I think I work so hard for what I want and so it makes me believe that maybe others can look at me and be like ‘yeah hard work really pays off in the end.’”

Many memories are made during one’s high school sports career. Asked her favorite memory thus far in her high school sports career, Klaudia stated, “My biggest highlight would be when I made it to finals even when I was injured while participating in cross country. I made it through one of my runs without slowing down.” 

Being involved in high school sports gives Klaudia a sense of pride. She stated, “Every day that I go out and just do sports, I do all of this for myself because doing it for myself makes me feel confident and independent. It makes me believe I can do anything that I set my mind to.” 

Besides being a multisport athlete, Klaudia is involved with Student Council at Daniel Webster High School.After graduating from high school, Klaudia plans on pursuing higher education. Klaudia stated, “I plan on going to Oklahoma State University to study to become a veterinary technician. I also hope to continue to run at the collegiate level.”
