VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Jordyn: I cheer, run track and cross country. They have taught me to be patient and to work hard for what I want.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
Jordyn: In cheer I don’t necessarily look up to one athlete, but the team that I’ve always been in love with are the Dallas cowboy cheerleaders.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Jordyn: One of my best friends, Alissa Gordon, made the biggest impression on me throughout my high school years because she’s always been there for me no matter what, and I looked up to her until she graduated last year.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Jordyn: My favorite teacher was probably my third grade teacher Ms. Ramsey, she’s always kept up with me in life and made the biggest impact on me.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Jordyn: I’m involved in student council as class president, also a member of the Oklahoma Association of Student Council, I attend the youth group at Carbondale Assembly of God and Sunday worship at Cognizant Church, where I participate in community service with them for church.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Jordyn: I would want to go to North Carolina with my family because it was a trip we planned this year but we had some unfortunate events that didn’t make it possible.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Jordyn: In life my God inspires me everyday to wake up everyday and live a life in his image.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Jordyn: I got into cheer in sixth grade. Both of my sisters and my mom were cheerleaders, so I wanted to follow in their footsteps.
