Currently one of five regional training centers for the United States Tennis Association, Tucker Tennis Academy is a full-time tennis academy and after school program for all levels. Teaching proper stroke mechanics and athletic skills, they strive to create a pipeline of athletes with an end goal of college tennis through a culture where players learn to welcome all levels of competition. The pathway begins by introducing the basics of tennis and improving overall coordination, then progressing to an intermediate level where the use of skill drills builds on the strategic foundations of the game. All combining to eventually push the student athletes to become college players.

Once those skills are mastered more live ball and fed-ball drills, pattern of play and tactics are incorporated through structured match play that targets both singles and doubles training. Students wanting to further their career by playing college tennis then move to the Academy program where they further develop their knowledge and skills for the game while simultaneously learning to problem solve in challenging drills and increasing their amount of tournament play.

At this stage of the pathway it is paramount that students begin working one-on-one with the TTA coaches, many of whom are college tennis alums themselves, and goal setting for college tennis. The Tucker Tennis Academy teaches problem solving, independent thinking and resiliency while working alongside parents to hold players accountable on and off the court as players build character and personal responsibility. All of these traits are imperative in achieving the path to college
tennis.

Tucker Tennis has also established a valued partnership with American College Placement, a mentorship and college selection placement company, to begin helping students move closer to their college goals as early as their sophomore year of high school. Over the last five years
Tucker Tennis Academy has had thirty three students receive well over two million dollars in scholarships to continue their tennis careers at the college level.
