Tulsa Area Basketball Players to Watch – Presented by Tulsa Bone & Joint

BOYS BASKETBALL

Sam McCormick – Bixby

The best rebounder and defender on the team. He can guard just about any player on the court and is also a two-way starter for the Spartan’s football team.

Lathan Boone – Booker T Washington

He is a returning senior and a three-year starter. He was the third-leading scorer on a state semi-final team last year. He is a great teammate and very coachable and can flat-out play.

Ethan Ellison – Broken Arrow

It is all team first with Ethan. He plays as hard as he can every time he is on the floor. He is the one to make sure a positive attitude always happens even with mistakes.

JT Rich – Coweta

JT is a senior that has waited his turn and is now primed for a great senior season. He has always been a great teammate and has an excellent work ethic.

Jay Overton Tobie – Edison Prep

He is the glue to the team and does all the dirty work that does not get attention.

Nate Mullendore – Holland Hall

He almost averaged a double-double last season with 9.7 points and 7.5 rebounds. He also averages over two charges a game and always goes for the loose ball.

Trent Thompson – Liberty

Trent is the go-to guy on both sides of the ball. He guards the best player night in and night out and leads in scoring, rebounding, and assists.

Cooper Jobe – Lincoln Christian

Cooper is a guy that will play all five positions on offense, but he is also an outstanding defender. He is ready to step into a leadership role and lead this team through a season of change.

Seth Pratt, Jarreth Ingram, and Montae Collins – Memorial

These guys are all state champions who carry 4.0 GPAs, they are captains and team leaders, and are all four outstanding young men.

Wyatt Powell – Metro Christian

Wyatt had an amazing summer and is on track for a breakout year. He has an excellent jumping ability, can handle the ball, and is good off the dribble. He has improved his shooting and defense as well.

Carter Smith – Regent Prep

An outstanding three-sport athlete for four years. He is a rare leader that is strong, tough, confident, humble, and a servant to others.

Kooper Kelly – Sand Springs

Kooper is an outstanding young man that does whatever he can to help his team be successful. He is also a great guy off the court.

Kylen Edwards – Sapulpa

He was the team’s leading scorer last season averaging 10.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore in the very tough Frontier Conference.

Tucker Morris – Summit Christian

He is a coachable kid that just understands the sport and finds a way to help his team when struggling to score.

Cedric Dixon and Dalen Fuller – Union

Both guys are returning starters. Cedric is an outstanding shooter and Dalen is a very explosive player on both ends of the court.

Evan Migliore – Victory Christian

Evan is always doing the little things on the court that helps his team win. He is the type of player that can have a big impact on the game even if he does not score a point.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Megan Roy – Bishop Kelley

Megan will be the senior who anchors the team and plays a lot of minutes. She is a hard worker and a great teammate.

Gentry Baldwin – Bixby

Gentry has started for three years and helped lead her team to a state runner- up finish the last two years and has a D1 scholarship. She is the point guard and floor general.

Rhyian Mayberry – Booker T Washington

Rhyian is a young athlete who has worked hard to improve her game. She is a constant talker and encourages on and off the court. She will do what is needed to win.

McKenzie Mathurin – Broken Arrow

Kenzie has continued to elevate her game in the offseason by becoming a consistent three- level scorer. She is a fierce competitor that has a refuse to lose mentality.

Kyliee Addington – Coweta

She does whatever her team needs her to do and she always plays past her abilities.

Jordan Blades – Glenpool

Jordan is a four-year starter and was a Metro Lakes All-Conference selection last season. She is an explosive athlete and has worked hard on her game.

Jill Twiehaus – Jenks

She is a junior that is a hard worker and team-first player. She will be an impact player for the Lady Trojans this season.

Hannah Coons – Kiefer

Coons has numerous D1 offers. She can score from all three levels and is very smart with the ball in her hand. She runs the floor, defends, and rebounds well.

Adyson Roberts – Lincoln Christian

Adyson is a senior and has committed to play softball at Oklahoma City College. She is a three-sport athlete for the Bulldogs that is also looking to play basketball at OCC.

Sakauri Wilson – Sand Springs

She is a junior and a two-year starter. Wilson is a quick guard and an outstanding defender. Her ball handling and energy along with her newfound offensive game will be fun to watch.

Stailee Heard – Sapulpa

Stailee is coming off a great season a year ago, where she guided her team to the state semifinals. She will bring a tremendous amount of confidence and leadership to the team.

Montay Davis – Tulsa Central

Davis is an outstanding point guard. She is a tough player to guard and a very competitive player that makes everyone around her better.

Kennedhi Barnes – Union

Kennedhi is considered the glue for the Lady Redhawks. She is a fierce competitor on and off the court that can play multiple positions.

Katie Elliott – Victory Christian

Katie is a strong defensive player and a three-point sniper. She is also one of the more vocal player on the team and will be looked to for leadership.
