Coach: Rylie Littlejohn
19-9
Rylie Littlejohn takes command in her first year as head coach at Bixby and will have a young, but talented roster to work with. “We will be capable of having a big year. We have multiple kids with offers to play at the next level,” Littlejohn said. “We believe they will compete to win every night. Our goal will continue to be what it has been. This group is hungry and eager to make their run count.” The Spartans will be led by VYPE Top 100 nominee Kate Wernli, a sophomore guard who already has multiple Division I offers.
“She is a knock-down shooter with the ability to use her size to finish at the rim well,” Littlejohn said. Senior guard/forward Brynn Daniels is what Littlejohn refers to as the glue to the team. “She does all the little things right for the betterment of the team,” she said.
Incoming freshman Kourtney Wright is a guard who picked up her Division I offer over the summer. “We are excited to see her grow and mature through the next four years,” Littlejohn said. Joining Daniels as the only other senior on the roster is forward Kenzie Christian. Juniors are guard Amaria Musick and forward Bailey Wilson. Other sophomores are guards Kate Datel, Addilyn Kramer and Maycee Hill, and forward Gracelyn Gruenwald.
The list of freshmen is long and includes guards Posey LaBouff, Nala Toliver, Nia Toliver, Kinsley McLaughlin, Avery Iliff and Hallie Jewel, and forward Heidi Gruenwald. Assistant coaches for the Spartans are Mariah Miles, Correy Moyer and Corbin Burchett.
