VYPE: How is the team looking so far this season?
Vandra: The team is looking good. I think we have all improved through the season, but we still have some room to grow going into state.
VYPE: What tournament have you enjoyed most this season?
Vandra: I enjoyed playing at Oak Tree. We spent the weekend in Edmond getting to spend time together as a team.
VYPE: What grade are you in and how long have you played golf?
Vandra: I am a senior and have played golf for six years.
VYPE: What part of your game have you worked to improve the most?
Vandra: I have had to work the most on my chipping. That has been my main focus this year and I think it has improved a lot.
VYPE: What’s your best round and where did you shoot it?
Vandra: My best round is an 83 and I shot it at South Lakes in Jenks.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
Vandra: I love the connections I have made with my teammates. They push me to be a better player and person.
VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school and what would you like to do after you graduate?
Vandra: At school I have only been focused on school and golf. However, outside of school I have done competitive dance for 13 years. After this year I plan to attend Oklahoma State University to earn a bachelors, then I plan to go to law school to do entertainment law.
VYPE: What do you love most about being a student athlete at Bixby HS?
Vandra: What I love about being a student athlete is the person I am because of it. I think it teaches you hard work pays off in all areas of your life. I also love getting to play in tournaments with my teammates.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time and do you have a favorite course to play?
Vandra: I enjoy listening to music or playing the guitar. I like playing at our home course Meadowbrook.
