9 Questions with Glenpool’s Calista Reed – Soccer Spotlight – Presented by Redbud Physical Therapy

VYPE: Calista, what grade are you in at Glenpool High School and how long have you played soccer? 

Reed: I am a senior and I have played soccer for about 12 years. 

VYPE: What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at GHS? 

Reed: What I love most are the people. I enjoy playing with my teammates because we want what is best for one another. 

VYPE: Which teammates have really impressed you this season?

Reed: There are honestly a few people that have impressed me. Jalissa Merrill, Alexis Jiles, and Kaylen Stevens have impressed me this season, and they are all defenders. Our goalie, Jay Smith, has also done amazing this season.

VYPE: What do you love most about this group of teammates? 

Reed: I love how much my teammates can lighten my mood after I have a bad day. They are really fun to be around,and I know I can trust them.

VYPE: How is the team coming together? 

Reed: We have a tough schedule this year, so we have to learn to work together.

VYPE: Are you involved in any clubs or groups at school? 

Reed: I am a part of the Oklahoma Indian Honors Society.

VYPE: What area of your game have you worked to improve for this season? 

Reed: I have worked to improve my shooting this year. I am currently playing in the midfield. 

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate? 

Reed: After I graduate, I plan to major in Psychology and become a therapist.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time? 

Reed: I really like listening to music.
