The Spartans swim team, under the leadership of Christa Thompson and Adina Meilner, has plenty to be excited about this season.
On the boys’ team, the Spartans will look to Jack Mose to lead a talented group of swimmers.
“The boys’ team is looking good and swimming pretty fast. They are ready for the season and excited. A few state swimmers have returned for the boy’s team,” said coach Thompson.
Mose is a team leader and a hard worker. He is one of the captains of the team this season bringing his state experience to the pool.
“He is fast and has been to state since his freshman year. He gets faster every year. He is a good help with communication with the team and with helping the new swimmers when asked. He is also good at school and trying to be a valedictorian this year,” said Thompson.
Also look for Nolan Pardue and Cole Stisser to have big years for the Spartans.
The girls team is rebuilding, but they do have a few promising swimmers on the roster. Coach Thompson said they have eight members with one returning with state competition experience.
