Anna Horeled has made a big impact with the Bixby cross country program. Horeled, the mother of Spartans’ sophomore runner Eli Horeled, as well as Nathan, a sixth grader, and Isaac, an eighth grader, has been involved in helping start a cross country booster club.
Horeled has also volunteered in activities such as working in the food pantry at Catholic charities, teaching Sunday school, and volunteering as a classroom room parent.
“For me it’s important to be involved and volunteer to give back to the community,” Anna said. “I also look back fondly on all of the time my own mom spent volunteering and being present for me when I was younger and I want to provide that experience for my kids as well.”
Each of her kids have been heavily involved in sports.
“Growing up the boys played a combination of basketball and soccer and ran cross country and track. Lately they have been mainly focused on their running and are finishing up the fall cross country season,” Anna said.
During family time, Anna loves outdoor activities such as hiking and boating, as well as family runs on a regular occurrence.
