Triston Driver is a junior at Bixby High School and a starting point guard for the varsity basketball team. Last season Driver averaged 14.5 points with 6.1 assists per game. This season the junior is looking to help his team make a run at state.
“The goal for this season is to make it to state and go on a run. Bixby has never won state, so we want to be the first team to accomplish that,” said Driver. “I believe this team is coming together great, we have guys figuring out their roles and doing it to their best ability, so I believe we can shock a lot of people with how good we can be.”
Driver is proud to represent his school and classmates as a student-athlete at Bixby.
“What I love most about being a student-athlete at Bixby is the support we get from the Bixby parents and fans,” said Driver. “What I love most about my teammates is their unselfishness and the willingness to get better each day.”
Driver said his favorite subject in school is math and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Hansen. Driver is making plans for life after high school.
“After I graduate, I would still like to be pursing basketball to the highest level I can take it,” said Driver.
Away from the court, Driver said he enjoys being outdoors and fishing.
