Broken Arrow High School

Broken Arrow High School senior Alex Muravski is a member of the varsity soccer team and has worked hard this offseason to make his final year of prep soccer his best.

“This year I have focused most on improving my leadership skills. I think this is the most important aspect of someone’s game because you can have an off day, and your technical skills can fail you, but you can always show up and choose to be a leader and make an impact with your character,” said Muravski.

The left wing starter said he’s played soccer since the fourth grade and he loves representing his school and teammates in competition.

“I love being able to represent my school while playing the sport I love. It gives me more to look forward to and more to work for,” said Muravski.

As a team, the Tigers have one goal and team chemistry is climbing to an all-time high.

“I love that all of our teammates work towards a common goal. We will occasionally have disagreements, but at the end of the day, we all want the same thing – to win state. Having the same goal motivates us to work for something greater than ourselves; to play for the team and not for our own glory.

Muravski is a member of National Honor Society and FCA at BAHS and his plan after graduation is to take his talents to the east coast.

“After I graduate, I will be attending High Point University in High Point, North Carolina, to study Mechatronic Engineering,” said Muravski.

Can the Tigers get the job done this season? Muravski believes all of the pieces are there to do something special.

“I think the team is looking very strong. We are all very unselfish players who will do anything for the team. We have used our preseason games to clean up some finer details, and we have gotten stronger every match. The key to success this year will be making sure that we are playing for something bigger than ourselves. We have to play for each other, our coaches, our parents, our fans, and for God. If we do this, there’s no stopping us this year.
