Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow’s Natalie Morgan – “Talk of the Tailgate” presented by Taco Bueno

Broken Arrow High School senior has spent nearly her entire life on the sideline of a football game. For 15 years she has cheered on teams and encouraged fans to make some noise. Now in her final year of high school, Natalie is making the most of every game and event.

“I love how close we all are and how much everyone truly cares about each other. They are my second family,” Natalie said about the cheer squad. “Friday nights are so special because I’ve gone to Broken Arrow my entire life and I’m so grateful I get the experience of being on the sidelines every week.”

There are too many wonderful memories to share, but one does stand out above the rest.

“My favorite moment at a game was last year in the first round of playoffs when we played Owasso. The entire game was back and forth, and it was probably the most fun game I’ve ever cheered at and at the very end the Tigers ended up winning and moving on to semi-finals,” said Natalie.

Natalie said she loves being a Tiger and could not imagine being a student-athlete at any other school. However, the senior is making plans for life after BA.

“Broken Arrow is a great school because even though we are a huge school, the faculty and the students really make it feel like home and they care about everyone there,” said Natalie. “My plans after I graduate are to go to college and major in biochemistry to eventually attend medical school, but I am undecided on what college I want to attend yet.”

Like many of her peers, graduation will be a bittersweet moment.

“I will miss the atmosphere and the excitement the most. Friday night lights are just something that is a once in a lifetime experience and the atmosphere that the students create at the games is amazing,” said Natalie.

One any given Friday night after a game you can usually find Natalie and her friends hanging out and celebrate what was hopefully a Tiger victory.
