Coweta’s Caden Garrett will help the Tigers form a strong senior duo in 2023-24 under
head coach Matt Watson.
Garrett, a 6-for-4 senior guard/forward, is a VYPE Top 100 candidate going into the season
along with teammate Cade Ellsion.
“Caden is a great shooter and a bruiser. He will be a great player this year,” Watson said.
Garrett wants to help his other teammates improve so the Tigers can make a deep
postseason run. He feels he has made strides with his ball skills.
“My goals for this year are to help the underclassmen improve and to make a state
tournament run,” he said. “I think my biggest leap from last year is my confidence with the
ball in my hands, and my strengths are my shooting and decision making.”
Garrett, who says a win over Glenpool last season is his proudest moment so far, is
influenced the most by his dad. He has hopes of continuing his basketball career in college.
“[My dad] is always pushing me to get into the gym and improve my game,” Garrett said.
