Coweta’s Hailey Reddout – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

Coweta varsity cheerleader Hailey Reddout is more than just an outstanding cheerleader and student, she’s also an active member of the FFA chapter at Coweta High School.

Reddout got involved in FFA when she entered the ninth grade, thanks to some
encouragement from some family members.

“My mom had always told me that Ag was one of the best things and ever since then I had made up my mind that I to join and be involved,” said Reddout.

The future senior said there are many reasons she enjoys FFA.

“The things I enjoy most about Ag is being about to interact with new members and be able to help educate others about where their food comes from. With the Coweta chapter I am involved with cattle grading, veterinary science contest and I am about to begin showing livestock. The animals I am going to show are goats,” said Reddout.

Now in her third season of varsity cheer, Reddout said her grandmother and parents have been big influences in her life.

“My biggest influences in life have been my grandma and my parents they’ve taught me so many life lessons and they’re always pushing me to my hardest and of course always supporting me,” said Reddout.

As for her cheer team, Reddout said she loves the sisterhood that comes with being on the team.

“I’ve cheered since first grade and still am to this day. What I love most about it is the way we all bond together and learn new things everyday together. I love how my team and teammates are always so encouraging and supportive with each other. That way we are always growing together,” said Reddout.

Future plans for this Tiger include attending college at Oklahoma State University to
become a registered nurse. Reddout offered this advice to anyone thinking of joining an FFA chapter at their school.

“Some advice I would give is to try to be as involved as possible because it goes by in the blink of an eye.”
