Coweta’s Justin Meadows talks about why he’s passionate about soccer – Presented by BancFirst Coweta

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Justin: I love playing under the lights and seeing my classmates and the community come and support us. It is a feeling not everyone gets to experience.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Justin: My favorite part about being on a team is the memories you make with one another on and off the field.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Justin: The sport has taught me that I need to work hard to reach my goals and that nothing is going to be handed to me.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Justin: I am passionate about the sport because I love everything about the game, the competition, the teamwork, and growing more mature as a player.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Justin: I started playing at Coweta Soccer Club at the age of four. Everyone in my family played so I wanted to as well and loved the game ever since.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Justin: My Mom and Dad inspire me every single day, they are always supportive and they are always pushing me to be the best version of myself.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Justin: I look up to Neymar Jr. He has always been my favorite soccer player since I was a little kid and he always grabs my attention when he plays. Watching him made me eager to get better and better.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Justin: My favorite memory is scoring the game-winning goal in a final in a Texas tournament.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Justin: I want to give a shoutout to my Mom and Dad because without them I wouldn’t be who I am today. They have truly shaped me into who I am today and I am very blessed to have them by my side. I also want to thank my brother, Jacob Meadows. He pushed me hard to get better at the sport and not give up when times are hard.
