Coweta High School

Wrestlers are a different breed. Coweta High School freshman Legend Ellis wrestled at 126-pounds this season and he said representing the high school in competition was great.

“I love representing Coweta anytime I wrestle. I love knowing that I am representing our town every time I step on the mat,” said Ellis. “What I love most about our team is that we can have a good time and we work hard at the same time.”

Ellis also plays football and runs track from the Tigers. In the classroom, Ellis said his favorite subject is English.

“My favorite subject in school in English and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Danielson,” said Ellis. “After I graduate, I would like to go D1 in wrestling and start some MMA and at some point, end up in the UFC.”

As for his first season of varsity wrestling, the freshman said it was fun.

“This season has been fun. What I have enjoyed most is hanging out with the team.”

In his free time Ellis said he enjoys doing private lessons with a few elementary kids, lifting, and hanging out with his girlfriend.
